The client wanted a better way to present their engine and a better way to explain and show its maintenance instructions.
They had already produced live videos, in which they presented the product and explained its maintenance instructions, but the videos were too long. These videos lasted up to 5 minutes and they were too complex and clumsy to deliver the message that Copenhagen Subsea wanted their customers to get.

Process
How 3D Animation Helped
By using 3D animation Copenhagen Subsea was able to showcase their subsea thruster in a beautiful way without any distractions that a live video would bring. Showing only the thruster with no human or environmental interference the product became the main focus of the video. Furthermore, the use 3D animation cut down the video length dramatically and simplified the explanation of maintenance instructions. In just 50 seconds Copenhagen Subsea could explain and show assembly and maintenance instructions in a much shorter time, which made their customers stay for the whole duration of the video. The 3D animation also made the explanation very simple and understandable for the customer, by not having a human demonstrating the product and by showing the maintenance process in ways that are not possible in live video.
Result
The animation lets the viewer see the beautiful design of the thruster without being distracted and it also lets the viewer see the exact assembly and maintenance instructions in a short and simple way.
